That CIA is starting to sound like one of those hacking groups like Lizard Squad or something.

C'mon people! Y'all think the tech companies don't work with the govt? GTFOH! Why do you think these companies must have FCC approval before they mass produce devices? The FCC Is what people? A government entity. Technology is going to be our downfall.

company disclaimers are sadly meaningless now. the power of these agencies is too immense.
we need them (cia nsa etc)
in order to tackle horrific security threats but secret eyes monitoring innocents is dangerous.

Google didn't comment because they already give everything to the government.

Good to know that almost everybody was/is aware that the CIA has been illegally collecting data, but yet did nothing except "firmware updates" to protect us. So either they agree that this style of gathering information is legitimate, and kept their mouths shut; they were strong armed by the government to keep their mouths shut; or they are lying about having any knowledge of the breach (they would never prioritize financial stability over ethics… that's crazy).

This has been going on for years now, not surprised at all. These companies give us a bs answer, when their fully aware that CIA can do this and has.

Yes, because we all know companies never lie to us, especially about vulnerabilities they might leave open for government $$$. Wait, we do already know this occurs, period.
