This would be hilarious and so typical. In 2016 Google made fun of Apple stating "Pixel features a headphone jack, satisfyingly not new" and in 2017 they'd just follow the Apple trend like everyone else. Nobody can make changes in the technology world like Apple does.

USB-3C has an audio specification. So just replacing the 3.5mm jack that needed to go. Maybe youl need adapters for now but the point is that in future one cable will do it all. Wtf. This is the future. Embrace it!

If every device from NOW got rid of the headphone jack, and replaced it with a Type – C connector, I wouldn't be so fussed… but when theres no advantage to it, and it happens over the course of YEARS, well I just find it annoying.
